Does anyone have any good survival fiction recs? I've realised that this is a particular trope/sub genre that I love. A couple of books that I can think of are 'Island of the Blue Dolphin' (I think that's what it's called, I read it in school so it's been a while) and 'The Martian'. I can't think of any other stories i've read that have scratched this particular itch.
Sci-fi, general, fantasy - I don't mind. I need; stranded MC, unlikely survival that's explained in detail, and a great internal monologue.
Is there anything out there like this?

I genuinely don't understand how this book is not more popular. EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS should be reading this. It has it all: Amazing athmosphere, good writing, lovable characters, an epic romance story, and, last but not least, botanical horror. The only but I would give it is that the ending felt slightly rushed, but overall the book is something I didn't know I needed. If you enjoy Krystal Sutherland YA horror books or The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi, you need to give this one a go. You won't regret it!!!

I am the master of having way too many books going at once. I see a lot of people on here with one book they are Currently Reading and it is absolutely wild to me, but I also totally admire it. Because focus is good.
How many books do you have going at once? What strategies do you use to not have too many going at once if you are a multi-book reader?
I see a lot of people say they have one of each type going (i.e. one kindle / libby book, one paper book, and one audio book). But I have usually three to four paper books going at once, and sometimes a kindle one or two on top of that. For me they are usually by room (one in the bedroom, one in the living room, one in my office). But sometimes I start multiple things in the same room because they are different genres.
I finished a book last night so now I am down to three simultaneous ones, but have definitely done 5-6 at once before.
