A not so simple question for you all Pagebound. Who turned you into a lifelong reader?
A teacher, a family member, a librarian? Can you remember what book it was that turned the light on?
My main reading influence was my maternal Grandmother and Aunt who used to read to me when they looked after me as a child and teen (to help with writing and language issues). The book that made me read as a teen was eitherPeeling the Onion by Wendy Orr or The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.

So there's this huge post here for readers around the world, but It's lagging so much for me and I seem to mostly see people from the USA and Canada, so here's one for my European fellowsđ Which country are you from/live in? I'm from Lithuania!đ±đčđŠ đŠ đŠ

Just seen someone's update on my feed (like when it says 'User is interested in reading...' etc and the update said 'User is re-reading...'
How did they do that?! I haven't got that as an option? Or does PB automatically do that if you mark a book as reading for the second time? And would those books auto register on your reading goal?

This might be oddly specific, but you know that feeling when you see a rainbow? At least for me, it just makes me feel so happy!
I was wondering whether there were any books that give you that feeling of pure happiness for no real reason â just like rainbows do (for me).

What's you favorite narrator tense and POV and why? Is it the same for reading and writing?

I am just about to start this book, but because itâs pretty big I wanted to annotate it (this usually helps me take in the book better and feels like iâll remember more). However, I donât know what would be the best things to tab. I was thinking of doing my generic âquotes, plot, characters, emotionsâ but that doesnât feel good enough, if you get what I mean.
Does anyone have any recs specific to Priory of the Orange Tree so I can really understand it? Maybe some themes I could be on the lookout for (unless theyâre too spoilery lol)?
Or do you have any suggestions for other ways to annotate this book?

V. E. Schwab has yet to write a bad book for me đ€ Her writing style in this one is the closest thing to a film in book form: I could vividly imagine everything, the way it would be filmed was so perfect in my head. Sheâs certainly got a power in terms of writing.
Plot wise it was interesting, although the execution felt a bit lacking to me. At the end, it was just slightly too random.
Itâs supposed to be middle grade to YA and I am technically the target demographic for YAâs, but Iâve switched to mainly adult books because the quality always seems so bad â Schwab proves me wrong there!
