What has an author done in books that has made you pull this face ⬇️

For me;
An author called me "bestie" 3 times in the TW section.
A different author let the characters do the smish smash when the FMC had infected wounds on her leg 🤢🤮

Curiously, despite Bernier’s certainty that everyone had a physically identifiable race, he nonetheless wavered on how many races there were in all, stating that there were “four or five.” The first race included people from three different continents...
Strings absolutely knew what she was doing juxtaposing these sentences—it's objectively hilarious. Obviously I speak with the benefit of hindsight, globalization, and far more developed science, but this seems like a great sign that whatever you're saying is wrong. How can you simultaneously be certain of your theory and uncertain of what that looks like and then cast the absolute widest net possible? Racialization is so stupid.
