How do you all organize use your home library? Alphabetical by title, by author, by genre, or another method? I’m really curious to know what everyone does. TIA!

Went on a super fun indie bookstore crawl today and enjoying the other posts of folks who did the same!
We were at a large bookstore with a sizable (dare I say, majority?) section dedicated to all genres of used books. My fave!
But it occurred to me that everyone probably has different methods for tackling the used books stacks!
Do you look for specific titles or authors? Only pull out books with titles that jump out at you? When I do this I feel like I'm likely missing out on some great books, but it would be impossible to read the back cover of every single book on the shelves😭

These princes suck!
Sometimes they have questionable morals, sometimes they are irredeemable, but no matter what there are princes (and technically kings) in these books that suck!

So I was wondering do you have any genres or type of stories where you prefer one format/media over another? I recently had the thought that while I love murder mystery stories, I actually prefer them as a movie. In a book I feel a clue either has to be pointed out by the author and you know they're drawing your attention to it or they don't mention it. In a movie things can be so much more discreet because you can show instead of tell, for example a movie doesn't have to tell you that the murderer's handwriting looks like somebody else's or that someone has a white line on their finger cause they're not wearing their wedding ring anymore. You either catch it in the frame or you don't. And the most fun for me is figuring out who did it. I'm still gonna read and enjoy the books but I always feel like I'm meta-reading them 🙈

Do you ever go into someone’s profile and find an incredible list they’ve made with only like two or three likes? Or make a super creative list you were really proud of that nobody saw? Solve list under hype today.
Tell us about a list you’ve made that you’re really proud of and didn’t get found by as many people as you thought it would. Maybe it’s a very niche topic, maybe you sued really random emojis, maybe you just created it when a lot of other people were making lists and it got lost. No matter the reason, share your lists below! Shame free self promo encouraged!!!

The title may give away that I’ve been recently dnf’ing a lot of books (some I didn’t log here lol) due many reasons, some are: uni- I don’t like the mc- the narrator is… hmm - HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE - what a problematic romance - even though I read most of the book I actually don’t care - dude can we get a change of scenery, why are you still describing this dude being on bed (petty reason ik, also a point for who know this book) etc… So I got curious, how many books have you guys already dnf’ed this year, and what are some of the reasons 👀?
