I'm accepting suggestions and critiques of what's included! Feel free to share thoughts and recommendations.
Scope of this list will remain limited to books about aging and the elderly. Recommendations can be fiction, memoir, essay, or nonfiction, but must center the experience of elderhood. Preference is for authors to be elderly themselves, and to primarily focus on their experience, rather than the experiences of those around them.
No specific floor for what counts as "old", but please use your best judgement.
Love this idea! Definitely something I'd like to read about more 🤩
Ursula’s book No Time To Spare would be a great place to start! It’s a collection of her blog posts from the end of her life, so it’s got a wide smattering of topics, including ones explicitly on aging.
Thank you so much! I've been meaning to read something by her, now I know where to start ☺️
I've seen 'A Matter of Death and Life: Love, Loss, and What Matters in the End,' by Irvin D. Yalom and Marilyn Yalom, recommended a few times, it might be a good addition!
I'll check it out! Thank you!!
