I recently read Burial Tide by Neil Sharpson and loved it. It's a Selkie folk horror story. Couldn't put it down.

I love the punny title! I recommend Selkies Are a Girl's Best Friend by Molly Harper, and The Enforcer Enigma by Gail Carriger (though the Selkies here are a mob rather than the main characters)

If you're interested, Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer doesn't have a seal on the cover but it's a really cute YA about two teens, one of who's mom owns a seal rescue centre & the other teen agrees to volunteer there over the summer! (just looked it up and the UK & Romanian covers have seals on the cover- such a shame that the US one doesn't!)
