Welcome to one of my favorite tropes: when the title of the book or series is included in the text, usually in a significant moment that makes everyone go "ohhhh that's what it means". Suggestions and corrections encouraged! Not only for books to add but also emojis :D

it was inspired by watching the shining and finally understanding the title 🙂↕️
I admit that the effect works better on screen, but there have been many literary title drops that gave me goosebumps, so here we go.
I will not count it if the title is just the name of a character or place that gets mentioned a lot. To use my favorite book as an example: The Foxhole Court doesn't qualify because that’s literally their home court and they mentioned it about twelve times each page with no significance to the plot. However, if one of the next books were to contain a scene in which all of them are hugging and someone dramatically said "we did it all for the game" that would count because that’s the title of the series. Also it would be funny.
Initial books come from my brain and also here, but I only added the ones I could confirm either with quotes or because I read them.
What a cool list idea! I looked through the books I recently finished and think "Great and Precious Things" by Rebecca Yarros could fit well. It's actually from a quote from, I think, East of Eden where it says "All great and precious things are lonely." and they recite this quote in the book and it was a nice moment. :)

Ohhh. I haven't read East of Eden. Is it a prominent quote in the book, like do you remember it? Honestly, Great and Precious things wasn't that great and precious to me. It's a small town romance with god soo so much small town politics, which I didn't really care about. If you like that go ahead, but otherwise I wouldn't really recommend it for just a good romance 😅😅
I remember the quote, but I don’t remember how prominent it is — East of Eden is very dense with profound and meaningful prose, so you’d probably find something quotable every chapter or so haha. It’s been a while since I last read it, so any passages I remember verbatim are probably because I’ve read the quoted somewhere else 😅

this is such a creative list, fish!!! you deserve each other fits so well here, the title drop was iconic for me lol also, the last book i finished wandering souls has the title drop in a quote, but i'm not sure if it could count (it was a great quote but not shocking?? idk)
