What does a book have to do to earn that from you?

  • Writing sites for tweens

So my cousin has been into writing nowadays she’s 12 and a half and wants to see what other people think of her writing. But all the sites are either for teens, adults, or little kids. So any recs for her?

  • Audiobook Speed

What speed do you listen to your audiobooks at? I usually start at 1.25, and then go up to 1.75 once I am used to the narrator, but it depends (for example, since I get all of my audiobooks from the library, sometimes my hold is almost up so I need to get through it sooner).

  • Scifi/thriller ARC readers

Hey Pagebound community! I've seen a few comments in this forum from folks who enjoy supporting indie authors and participating in ARC (advance reader copy) programs, so I figured I would see if there are any fans of science fiction / thriller genres that would be interested in being an ARC reader for my debut novel. I don't want to spam the forum, but if that interests you, let me know! (P.S. - Can't wait for the Pagebound app to drop!)

  • Fantasy recs

I feel like I haven’t had the best luck with fantasy books. I’ve probably only given one or two a full 5 stars. So I’m here asking for recs. If you had to pick just one fantasy book that’s at the top of your list, what would it be? And if picking one is way too hard, feel free to give me your top three. Bonus points if it doesn’t have spice. No shade to anyone who likes it in their fantasy or romantasy of course, but I think I prefer the spice in just my romance reads.

  • Reading goal

I completed my reading goal of 31 books and decided to put it at 40 books for now. I was wondering how's everyone managing their goal, do you set a goal high at the start of the year or do you set a goal you now you can achieve and then update it I personally prefer to update it as i go bc i feel less pressured

  • Reading time

When do you read, like at what times? Do you read for a few minutes between things you have to do? Do you have free time in your day you mostly give to reading? I personally don't have long transport rides throughout the day I can use for reading which sometimes I wish I did haha but I usually read after work/college or read during the weekends. Today I actually had a task that wasn't very thought consuming during work and listened to a short audiobook while doing it, I don't usually listen to audiobooks as I find it hard to focus but it worked for me today.

  • Anyone have any obscure recs? Like hidden gems.

I’ve been reading so much lately that I’ve been running out of books. So I need recs, like a lot. No spice pls! :)
