Gimme a random book rec!

What are some of the books you've read where the blurb was so incredible and enticing but the book just underdelivered or was NOTHING like the blurb? For me the most recent one was 'Witch' by Iain Rob Wright And to flip the question... what book did you read that had a sad little blurb but the book blew you away?

I'm such a huge fantasy reader, but I still haven't touched ACOTAR or Fourth Wing, and it actually kind of baffles me! Seriously, how have I not gotten to these?!

I am creating a library display of books about Babes with Swords. What are some of your favorite books about Babes with swords? Ideally I would like the Babe to be a main character, but I will also accept very important side characters.

What are some books you guys have read multiple times? And why? I would say that I've probably only reread about 5-10 books in my entire life, I usually never feel like it because I'd rather spend that time reading a new book. Even though almost every reread would be pretty beneficial since I usually forget most of a book if it wasn't life changing 😂😂

How do you decide to DNF a book? And is there a percentage of reading where you’ll decide to stick it out to the end instead of DNFing anyway?

The only book I’ve ever marked as a DNF I still plan on returning to when I have a bit more historical knowledge (Pride and Prejudice—I couldn’t understand a thing they were saying).

Whenever I want to drop a book in the middle of reading I always end up thinking “but what if it gets good and I end up really liking it in the end,” which very rarely happens. I’m also curious if anyone has things in a book that will instantly make them drop it every time.
