Hi everyone, we've just released a big app update with many quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and some new features. These are all available on web as well. Please make sure your apps are updated to the latest version, 1.1.1, to see these changes! As a reminder, you can check out what we're working on and what's coming up next via the public roadmap (in the footer on web, in the more menu on the app)
Here's a list of updates:
We're working on monthly wrapups, reading streaks, and some prep for more stats next! We will also be making some additional enhancements to Quests (like: a book recommendations section similar to the Community Recs on book pages, stats for how many users earned each badge tier, and a feed tab like the new feed tab on book pages)
Thanks everyone and happy reading, Jennifer + Lucy

Am I the only one who gets irritated when a book description starts with "abcbook meets xyzbook"? It makes me lose interest in the book immediately, especially if they're comparing them with books that I don't like.
It's also very silly because sometimes the book has NOTHING to do with the books they're comparing it too💀

Do you guys read every single book your favorite authors have written? I'd have like 2 maybe 3 authors up there, and I feel like I need to read everything from their very first short story they published when they were 14, to their last most intricate masterpiece. I don't even rly care if they're as good as my favorite stories from them, it just feels familiar and comforting in a way? Like I know the way they write and the things they strive for, and it's guaranteed I'll enjoy the story bc of that
In that line of thought, how do you choose your favorite authors? I'm very particular tbh, as much as I might like one book it takes a lot of effort to get me hooked on the author's journey. Like sure I'll have certain writers in mind, but I consider vry few my absolute favorites (and there's even a clear distinction between them), so I might keep an eye out on them, but I'm not particularly interested in everything they create
(My favorites are Fredrik Backman and Emily Henry btw, for vry similar reasons)

Every year for the past two years I’ve started the year off with a Brown Sisters book starting in 2024 with Get a Life Chloe Brown and the rest is history. I’m very very excited to close this little mini tradition of reading a lovely and fun Talia Hibbert rom com in January with our final Brown Sister, miss Eve Brown!

I've loved how funny this fantasy is so far especially from the Gargoyle. Of the fantasy/romantasy books I've read, its been rare for me to laugh out loud. The plot is engaging and Rory a handsome delight! One thing I'm stuck on though is what the Diviner's shroud looks like. I almost want to imagine a nun' veil but, at the same time not. 🤔

Oh Dear top contributors, hear me as I plead my case! 😊 Good, evil, misunderstood or popular, I just love reading about witches! I've noticed that there's many lists on them, but not (yet?) a quest! Of course quests take time and energy to make, so I know I'm asking for a lot, but girl, it would be the happiest day of that year! Thanks for reading! I hope I'm not alone!
