Naturalmouse finished reading and wrote a review...
I went into this skeptical due to the booktok dedication and some of the reviews. However I thoroughly enjoyed it. Blair was able to show Keera to be a great assassin while understanding the struggle of the torment this has caused her. Keera is both practical and caring.

Do you guys use the planner in this app? If yes, do you prefer to plan by month or by year? And do you stick to your reading plan?
I’ve only started using this app this month so idk how I’ll do moving forward, but so far I’ve been sticking to it (although it’s okay if I don’t manage to read every book when I planned to read it, I’ll get to it when I can ✨)
I’ve found that option really helpful because I can have a better idea of the books I’d like to read each month and the following months (especially if the books are connected to specific times of the year such as Christmas, summer, ecc…). Plus I like lists and planning, so that’s just fun for me haha 🤓

I know it’s probably a bit controversial, and I don’t do it with every genre, but when I’m not sure if my favorite character survives or if the couple gets a HEA, I often read the ending first.
I just really don’t like surprises, and suspense often makes me anxious instead of excited. I need to emotionally prepare myself, and knowing how it ends helps me relax and enjoy the journey.
What about you? Do you like to keep the suspense, or do you sometimes sneak a look at the last page too?

I used to be very picky about reviews and ratings. I would try and only read books rated 4 and above on GR. But then I realized I was liking some books that were 3.6 and up.
Do you guys take into consideration the average star ratings? I have friends who don’t care about reviews at all and will pick up a book with a bad ratings if they like the plot.
If you do take into consideration the reviews, what number is your limit? Mine is anything lower than 3.6.
Edit: I love the PB community because I have reconsidered my whole stance on ratings. I am now going to disregard ratings and stop being so picky. This def makes a more open minded experience ❤️❤️❤️

Post from the Chips forum
I read all this series as a kid, Spud, Chips and Pup. They were my favourite books for a long time. I still have a love of blue healers because of Spud. Also one of the few books I have reread over the years.

Y'all, I'm low-key obsessed with Pagebound... I check it several times a day to see if I have any new notifications and to respond to comments and stuff, what in the social media addiction is this? 😭💜

I haven't really thought about it until now, but one of the things that makes Pagebound so different is that on any other social media site, interactions on really old posts are kinda strange, right? Like I'd be weirded out if someone suddenly liked one of my insta posts from a year ago. But on Pagebound, I HOPE I'm getting interactions on posts a year from now because it means someone else is reading a book I once read and is hanging out on the forum for that book! I don't know, I just think that's really cool, and I hope no one is ever dissuaded from commenting or interacting with a forum because the posts on it are older ❤️

I feel all Trigger Warnings should be public and not considered spoilers. Many people disagree with me about that. I don't pretend to understand that mindset, but I understand I live in a society with people who want different things than I do. I can understand and respect that.
However, there is one case I wish all people universally considered fair game for open and unconditional public warning.
Animal Death.
I don't tag animal death warnings as a spoiler. You cannot make me. I will not do it. Ain't no reason to do that kind of damage to another person with no warning when you know it's in the book. That's how I feel. And I fully support any person who joins me in that.
[UPDATE: I just did an experiment. If you post a Trigger Warning in the Book forum section, and title it TW or CW with whatever your warning is, then mark it as a spoiler, you can give details in the spoiled part for anyone who wants them. The title still shows up, the details are hidden. I think it's a really good compromise!)
What's more, I don't understand why you would want someone else to do that to you! You want someone to sneak attack you with the dead horse in The Neverending Story? Why? Don't answer that. Just know that if you would do that to someone, it's not okay and you're wrong. Full stop.
I'm curious. What is the one Trigger Warning you don't think you/anyone else should have to mark as a spoiler, purely for your benefit? What thing in a book is so egregious to you, you'll stand ten toes down on your right to never be surprised by it?
(And if there are any fantasy or sci-fi books you know of with animal death in them, feel free to warn me in the comments!)

I got back into reading this year after not reading for a few years (was very sick), but I used to read A LOT. I started adding books I read a few years back to my library, but I can’t remember them all. I’m wondering if it would be better to just start fresh and add only the books I read this year. It will look like I haven’t read a lot though.😅 I can’t decide what to do! Help😭

I'm normally someone who searches for my next book by just looking up queer fantasy and choosing whatever sounds good. Otherwise I just go off someone's recommendation from their list of books they have enjoyed. In the last couple of days there have been a couple of posts on here that are making me think before choosing any books I need to research the authors better. One pointed out an author I had recommended to me was a Zionist and another was discussing AI covers. Personally I struggle to research authors before reading anything they have written as I get bored and overwhelmed. My questions to fellow readers are how much do you look into an author before you choose to read a book? And is there anything you do to make the task of researching your authors fun?

Hey, beautiful people 💫 After that post I made in the forum I felt so surprised to see so many people relate to my situation, and it was overwhelming (in the best way) to feel everyone's support and understanding. So I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to give me a little uplifting, it really made a difference.
This made me think that we really are a community of dear anonymous friends, who support each other through the love of books. Which led me to this thought: There are so many beautiful and original usernames... What's the story behind each one? (except for one_crazy_eliott, I think I understand the reason behind Mr. Crazy's username 🤭🤭🤭)
So, if you feel comfortable, share the story behind it. I think it will help bring us closer and keep everyone's anonymity anyway.
I'll start: The OGs know I started PB as fantasy.betareader but decided later to change my username to Pipsy to help me feel more connected here. This is a nickname my sister gave me when I was 3 or 4 years old, and it stuck until today. My whole family calls me by it, my friends, my teachers, my bosses, etc. Even on my passport, my signature says Pipsy. So that's basically my name 😊
