One of my close friends is in medical school and she was telling me how she uses ChatGPT to write all her emails and just for fun like guessing her favourite clothing brand. And I'm like bro not only is that bad for your brain but it's also so harmful to the environment. Her response was oh haha you would hate my classmates and I was like you guys are future doctors and she got annoyed with me.
I feel like AI is being shoved down our throats. Every single app nowadays seems to have an AI feature, everyone I know uses it for the most basic tasks. And sometimes I just want to scream and be like USE YOUR BRAIN THIS ISN'T A DIFFICULT TASK JUST THINK.
I love how Pagebound is so anti-AI. It feels like one of the last spots on the Internet that's AI free. I get that AI may have some useful applications but I genuinely just feel like it's a can of worms that we should never have opened. I feel like people don't think critically anymore and just be like, "Oh I'll ask chat". So I love how Pagebound is just real humans sharing their thoughts. I love how this app always promises to be strictly anti-AI which again is getting to be quite a rarity nowadays.

Hi all. I hope everyone has had a good week. I'm sorry to those of you who didn't. Hopefully, next week will be better.
What are your plans for the weekend? If you are hoping to dedicate some time to reading, what are you reading?
I'm heading to the library to collect my holds tomorrow; there are an embarrassing number of them. Since I finished my two main reads in the last couple of days, I will probably try to work through some of them. I really need to start Enchanting that Fae Queen by Stephanie Burgis before my loan expires, too.

Is there a secret to attracting followers? I've been on here for 2 months and only have 2 followers. I'd love to interact more with fellow readers.

Howdy boundlings! Here's a fun question:
What books do you love that you feel like no one else has read?
You know the one. You recommend it all the time and the forum never gets any new posts. Maybe it's an old favorite, maybe it's out of print or in a polarizing genre. Tell me about your underappreciated faves - maybe we can get some yoink trains going!
I'll go first - I adore Nightwatch on the Hinterlands by K. Eason. The worldbuilding is great, its like D&D in space, the MC is a strong lady orc paladin and her alien ambassador lizardfolk wizard bestie, plus the cyborgs that are exploring their new autonomy. They investigate weird murders, uncover conspiracies, and fight space Cthulhu monsters in fight scenes I would give my precious limbs to see played out on film or as a video game. It's a series, it has a sequel and seems to be ongoing, please read it I love it so much. And I love all of you â€ïž đ happy reading!
