How do you decide to DNF a book? And is there a percentage of reading where you’ll decide to stick it out to the end instead of DNFing anyway?
The only book I’ve ever marked as a DNF I still plan on returning to when I have a bit more historical knowledge (Pride and Prejudice—I couldn’t understand a thing they were saying).
Whenever I want to drop a book in the middle of reading I always end up thinking “but what if it gets good and I end up really liking it in the end,” which very rarely happens. I’m also curious if anyone has things in a book that will instantly make them drop it every time.

I’m already kicking my feet with glee. This is going to be so cute. I can already tell.
✅ Forced proximity ✅ Work rivals ✅ Travel plot
I’m absolutely going to eat this book up nom nom 😋

Honestly this was mid but I really enjoyed the ending. The restaurant ship was the best part. I just found the butler pirate premise of this book to be a struggle. It wasn’t interesting and I just wanted to get through it.
Overall Rating: 3/5

i enjoyed this book so very much! a lot of odd, uncomfortable humor, ttrpg systems, and a healthy dose of misery! very excited to continue this series, i have heard the characters and plot take a while to tighten up, but it was not so terrible i couldnt deal with it.

Omg, I haven't started the first chapter, only read the title, and am already lost. I forgot who everybody was. Who the f is Caleb??

I am creating a library display of books about Babes with Swords. What are some of your favorite books about Babes with swords? Ideally I would like the Babe to be a main character, but I will also accept very important side characters.

Does anyone have a book rec for the title above? I'm talking about ooey gooey summer in the dirt and water, coming of age, camping and adventuring. Idk since summer is on the way I just want a reading experience that brings me back to that feeling I had at sleep away camp.
No thrillers please, if there's a little thrill sure, but I want to be cozy not on the edge of my seat 🥹🙏🏻

hi frens!! i have been thinking about how i've been gravitating toward those very specific genres recently and i wanted to take note of my current favs and also hear some of the community's! what is that very specific genre you really enjoy, kinda like pb list vibes? i'd love to hear your fav genres and recs that go with them! feel free to shout out any fav lists u have too :)
these are mine! -elderly people solving mysteries (cosy fiction), and casually dropping their wisdom and life lore -2010s social media centered thrillers but nothing later bc i despise 2020s social media rip -travel or vacation or plane related mysteries because of all the strangers brought together (i do love me an ensemble cast) -indigenous wisdom about plants (thank you robin wall kimmerer) -fiction about the dark side of wellness and beauty -graphic novels where you have to read parts of the art, like someone's shopping list, and its central to the story, kinda like mini games while gaming (I LOVE MINI GAMES but i know that is controversial)

Do you guys stick to the same genres across everything you read, or is it different depending on the format?
I just realized I read completely opposite genres 😭 With books, I’m all romance, all the time. But when it comes to manhwas, I’m suddenly into battles, reincarnation plots, OP main characters… all that.
I do read romance there sometimes, but it’s not my main thing like it is with books.
Am I the only one like this?? 🤣

Good morning Bookaholics!!
Your question of the day is.... 🥁
If you could erase one book from your memory, just to be able to experience it again, what would it be? ☺️
