just finished the first book in the series. debating if i want to read this or the second book in the series first

hello🤗 while reading tonight i got curious and wanted to check if my kobo ereader was spot on with its prediction on how much time it would take me to finish my book… so i set up my little timer and said why not check this function out!

(for context its my first time having an ereader and this function is so funny to me because i’ve never thought to calculate my reading speed or pages per minute because im usually a slow reader🐌)

it said 3.4h hours for approximately 319 pages (counting the acknowledgments and all the back ads and so on and so forth)

ive made it in 2.55h (skipping the back ads and about the author and publisher pages)!! so i guess it was pretty spot on⭐️

have you ever tried to check out yours or am the only crazy one lol? feel free to share🩵

What book do you think you’ve reread the most? Is it because you love it or another mysterious reason?

I think I’ve reread The Great Gatsby at least 25 times! It turned into a comfort book for me & I own a copy of the audiobook and I used to listen to it on repeat. I don’t think I’ve read it in about 3 years now but I was religious about it for my entire college experience!

Looking for some more adult high fantasy book recs (with or without romance)! I love complex plots, unique magic systems/world-building and interesting characters.
