I know I’ve just started the book and I’ve not read much but I can just tell I’m going to love Alex. Her story just immediately hooked me

He was, as we have already said, perfectly well acquainted with the literature of all countries. A few words he let fall showed them that he was no stranger to the sciences, and he seemed much occupied with chemistry. Okay, this is getting a little ridiculous. Either the author is poking fun at the Count or he is going to be one of those on characters who are good at everything and it drives me INSANE. 🫠

What an interesting read! I can see why Christie's mysteries are so popular; you think you're figuring things out but there's always a catch. Very interesting indeed. What really surprised me is her dry humour. I didn't expect to be snorting every once in a while. The narration and the characters didn't let me get bored even when things got too serious. With that, Miss Marples is so interesting I can see why she got her own series. P. S Griselda got forgiven too quickly and too easily.

What a journey this book was! From its terrific start to its (finally) calm end, it was an entire experience. It presses you to think about life, your experiences, your memories and your morals. The plot was definitely unique and it captivated your attention the entire time. The characters were really interesting. Although at some points, I do think creative liberties were taken, I'm not complaining. Overall, a pleasant experience.
