the plot seems promising. i’m not particularly fond of how our main character spends the majority of the first 3 chapters reiterating the fact that she doesn’t fit in and is different from everyone else, but i’m hoping once the story truly kicks off it’ll get better

I feel a slump coming on and I’m banking on these characters to keep me out of it 🤞🤞🤞

i’ve been so excited to pick up this read since the author’s cat went viral for posing w/ the special edition cover (🙈) i was very surprised by the journal format, but it’s such a fantastic way to get into piranesi’s head. i’m also finding it hard to visualize the house, although i assume that it was meant to be somewhat confusing for anyone who isn’t piranesi. all in all, thus far it’s a beautifully immersive book and i’m so excited to continue it
