Easy to read and pleasantly suspenseful. The world building was a little simple despite the intriguing premise of parallel worlds. I really like the concept of magic in this story and how the different worlds approach it.

Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.

I have occasionally seen people say that rereading a book shouldn't/doesn't count towards your reading goal and I was wondering what people on here thought about that? Personally, I think that you're still reading a book, doesn't matter if you know the story by heart, It counts as reading and should go towards your reading goal

I am not enjoying this at all. Not that I think this is a book to be enjoyed, but still. Ordinarily I'd DNF but I feel like the messaging in this one is important in today's climate so I'll stick it out for the next 2 hrs...

When I read this last year, the hopelessness of it all really stirred me. Kind of reminds me of how inevitable the downfall of humanity is in the wake of climate change
