I have never read this book and lied about it for years. Same with Brave New World. It’s way more violent than I realized, and the misogyny is just awful. Hoping I’ll get through it fast.

Honestly one of the best books on the CIA and, I’m assuming, the Manson murders. But I feel bad for Tom O’Niell, the author. This investigation consumed his life and he never could definitively prove what happened. 30 years of his life poured into this story. The biggest takeaway? Look to the CIA if you want to define why America is the way it is.

Still on this journey with the author and nothing about any of this makes sense and I can’t imagine having to deal with untangling this mess as a journalist

My first Neil Gaiman
Enjoyed this book very much. Some of it was downright creepy, and the story was lots of fun. A good, fast read.

This book makes me sad for Carrie, I had forgotten how bad it really is for her. It’s surprising how well King writes the women of this book, considering his other female characters from this time period are somewhat lacking. I’m enjoying the build up, and it’s unique among his styles.

Poor Haymitch. President Snow remains the absolute worst.
