Plot is phenomenal and it really takes you on a journey. Sanderson is really good at imagery and details. I was definitely on the edge of my seat towards the end of the book. However, I do not really like his writing style, at least in this book. I've found that he states details about a character rather than show it, and I like finding things out about characters rather than being spoon fed information. I also personally felt that a lot of the character interactions and some major events felt more like tropes and general ideas that were pushed to further the plot rather than a natural sequence of what would happen in reality ( I like having my books reflect the ebb and flow of real life to some extent, even in fantasy books). But there is a lot of intricacy in the details of the different races and the "mystery" of the plot itself. I think that part was really really enjoyable and I'd definitely recommend this book for a fun fantasy read!

This book is making me feel like I am playing Tiny Bookshop, but with more background into what happens after giving a character a book in response to a request. Makes me want to play again after having taken a break from it. 🎮📚🚙
