Had to DNF a book and was having a hard time choosing which one to read next, so since I saw my friend has just started reading this one too, I'll be reading it at the same time so we can talk about it when we're both done 🫰🏻
none the less I've been very excited to read this one so 🤞🏻

When I saw someone recommending this book on Instagram, the way they spoke about it made me think these characters were in college,, I know there isn't spice in this book (and appreciative of that!) but none the less, as a 30+ year old I just don't want to be reading about teens anymore, really. College age is still younger than I'd prefer to read about tbh, but it is more digestible for myself, ahah.
I was quite excited to read about a trans ftm main character, but unfortunately I couldn't get much behind the characters or the writing style. I think I would've definitely enjoyed this when I was younger and can see why younger people enjoy this, but it's just not for me, unfortunately.

You can read Dineke's review, because they put to words exactly how I felt about this book. I had to DNF because of how uncomfortable I'd feel.

was almost a perfect read for my own tastes and likes, last bit was different than the first half and a bit which I enjoyed more. But it's got wonderfully worded longing. Loved it

So far I'm not sure I'm enjoying the book much,, I was excited to have an FMC who's not a teenager, but the way she talks and acts so far feels like she is. It's an easy to read book so far, the writing is flourished without being complicated to follow, although a bit on the nose at times. I do have a personal bias of not enjoying first person reading as much as third person, so maybe that has to do with me not enjoying it as much so far, but I do want to try get to at least 25% before deciding to DNF or continue
