Hello, I was wondering if you all prefer ebook or physical book and which you use most. I have a kindle but barely use it, I recognise it is pretty convenient, especially when travelling, but I simply can’t get into it. Any advices?

Well well well...that's me in love with Dark Academia now I guess? J.L. Vampa’s novel was unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I’ve dipped my toe, one single pinky toe, into “dark academia” but never like this. I really fell in love with this setting; 1990’s Dublin, IRELAND (yessss) and in autumn no less. Folklore and Flora and plague and gothic and Fae and Irish just all the good things that have now awakened in me. And I did love the characters, ALL of them! I was so happy with the strong team that they formed but of course, Sonder and Atta have a special place in my heart. A man yeeeearning with reason, not just lust. I mean come ON. A stór, ugh... just yes. Coming from reading pretty much only romances, I do wish we got a bit more of a peek into their romance, but I also appreciated that the romance didn’t dominate and control the plot. I do wish that there was a bit more suspense, a bit more of not knowing how the events would turn out. I was never actually fearful of anything happening to any of the characters and the plague didn’t have me at the edge of my seat, worrying for all of Dublin. Also, the ending shooketh me a bit, it was kind of just quickly resolved and wrapped up with a quick look a year + after the main events. I just thought "no, that can't be it, right?". I think I really just wanted more of the characters and more of the story that Vampa gifted us 😩 Simply put, I loved it. And I’ll be back for more J.L. Vampa. 🖤
