i enjoy horror books a lot, as well as games and movies, but i wonder what the general consensus here is surrounding internet horror and similar communities. just a few questions for horror fans here:
did you grow up reading/writing creepypastas, and did that get you into horror books, or did something else introduce you to the genre?
do you watch/interact with any horror internet series/args? for those who donāt know what an arg is, it stands for alternate reality game. it sort of a narrative that has puzzles and ciphers the reader can solve, and is often used to tell digital horror stories.
what is your favorite internet-based horror story? can be a book too if you donāt know any solely internet-based ones
sorry if this is off-topic from just reading straight up literature haha, iām just curious.

One of the most infamous non-book examples would be The Room by Tommy Wiseau. It was an absolute nothingburger of an indie movie at release but over time gained a cult following. It didn't magically age well, but the context surrounding it changed. Now people love to watch it because it's so bad, it circled back to being entertaining.
Are there any novels and/or series that resonate with you in a similar way? It feels like this could be a wild goose chase given that reading is more internalized. But I hope y'all can prove me wrong!! š

Y'all I just want to make a post celebrating my library. Not only because 1- right now the world is scary and its still a safe place. And also because my library gives me the opportunity to hang out more by volunteering. But also!!! I just bought a book from my library book store. Its a brand new book that just came out like two months ago. I got the book for 50 cents.
Anyway, libraries are super cool and badass and we should all appreciate them more.

Iāve realized Iām a slow reader. It takes me forever to finish a book. Or is it a reading slump where I canāt seem to finish a book in a timely manner? There are so many books I want to read, that I want to prioritize over my current reads. Especially because Iāve just started a couple books on my TBR. Any advice on how to stop feeling bad for DNFing a book? I hope this post makes sense. I should probably just devote all my attention to one book at a time, see if that helps
