I had to stop my listening session and linger on one of Fi’s comments. “She commented on a specific tree she had been growing and shared her hopes for its roots”.
This line literally stopped me in my tracks. When you see plants or shrubbery in a garden you often focus on what you can see, but don’t really take much time to consider what you would hope for its support structure. This really just hit me, clearly. I hope to focus more on my wishes for the roots, too.

Full disclosure: I’ve only JUST experienced the Phantom of the opera via the movie (in the last two months) and that has become my baseline. While I’ve been reading the book like 👀, the story is still a gothic delight. Can’t wait to make it further into the book!

“He couldn’t believe it was only Wednesday. And it was made worse when he realized it was actually Tuesday.”
