i’m really loving the writing style here, the silly analogies somehow work so well in this story. and tress’ character is really growing on me

everything about Tress is just so relatable

Unless I find a memoir to be extremely well-written, I usually don't give them a star rating because it just feels weird to me to judge the way someone presents their life story. As a huge Star Wars fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir. It doesn't go into detail on the actual experiences of filming on set, but more about a young girl dealing with unreciprocated love and heightened public fame. Carrie Fisher's inner voice definitely shines in the writing and the book felt deeply personal.

Its getting adictive, love it. Also I can’t wrapped my head around the fact that it is the same Snow as the other books. Cant wait to see what happend to him that made him a monster

Post from the The River of Silver: Tales from the Daevabad Trilogy forum
that was the most perfect ending ever and i really wish that had been included in the Empire of Gold 🥹 reading about all these characters and returning to this world again made my heart so happy. i found that some of the novellas definitely added a lot more depth to the characters and made me realize that i’m definitely due for a reread of the series soon

"The problem is that our society is too obsessed with work, and working takes away too many things from us. When we return home after a long workday, we no longer have energy for leisure time or hobbies." This is so recognisable for me. I know I worked too hard when I am doomscrolling my evening away

Hello everyone! i remember that i read this book for school in 6 grade in my primary school so im really curious whether any of you also have it in school! Also, in my opinion, reading it as a 12-year old is pretty early dont you think? like i think reading it later might give you some more perspective, understanding and deeper thoughts?
