    Hi guys!

I just wanted to share what’s been weighing on my mind, and I figure that pride month is the perfect opportunity to bring this up.

I’ve been thinking a lot about oppression towards queer and disabled people - as a black person, I’ve grown up being taught about racism and discrimination towards black people and other BIPOC, so I’ve always been aware of that part of my identity. Learning that I’m also neurodivergent and queer has been a very serious thing for me because I was never taught/raised that it’s okay to be that way and that it was possible for me (as a black person) to be that way. The blatant gaslighting that I witnessed about how possible it is for a black person to be queer and/or neurodivergent was extremely appalling and I will never be able to forget it. This comes with experiencing firsthand the kind of oppression that neurodivergent/disabled AND queer people face, and that’s stressful and traumatic to a degree that I cannot put into words. Not knowing is one thing, but being told by “trustworthy people” that you can never be that way just to realize that you are, then facing oppression is deeply saddening. It’s worth grieving. It’s very upsetting. My heart goes out to all the people who have similar experiences and I just want to say that your anger/upset/literally however this makes you feel is 100% valid. Being lied to about your identity and then facing oppression because it is your identity is absolutely worth rage and sadness. It’s like a constant fight just to be human. Just to exist.

As always, feel free to share your thoughts. ❀‍đŸ©č

  • HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BOUNDLINGS 🌈

HIIIII Y’ALL! Happy Pride Month!!!! I’m so hype!!! To my fellow LGBTQIA+ boundlings, just want to say that you are loved and you matter. Whether you’re closeted, partially out, or fully out, you are valid and you are seen!

If anyone feels comfortable sharing their experiences as a queer person, please feel free to do so in this comment section. This is a safe space for all! đŸłïžâ€đŸŒˆ

Also feel free to share what books you’re planning to read for pride or any recommendations you have!! And which book(s) are you reading for the pride event?

  • READING ONLY WLW BOOKS THIS MONTH.

    HAPPY PRIDE MONTH EVERYONE! 🌈

I think you all know by now, that I, being bisexual and what not, have always thought that WLW books don't get much love. So I've been trying to read more WLW books for past few months and since it's pride month, I've decided to ONLY read WLW/lesbian led/ bisexual woman led books! I've picked up 12 books from TBR and created a shelf. WISH ME LUCK

Edit: here's the list for anyone that would like to pick up one of these!

The Wives of Herrick Hall - Julie Lew The salvage - Anbara Salam The Fox And The Devil - Kiersten White The Isle In The Silver Sea - Tasha Suri The Devil She Knows - Alexandria Bellefleur The Secret World Of Briar Rose - Cindy Pham Bury Our Bones In The Midnight Soil - V.E Schwab A Treachery of Swans - A.B Poranek The Sky On Fire - Jenn Lyons Last Night In The Telegraph Club - Malinda Lo In the Dream House - Carmen Maria Machado (currently reading) Our Wives Under The Sea - Julia Armfield.

  • PRIDE MONTH TOMORROW

So tomorrow is pride month, and I just wanted to ask: what are some queer books you‘ve read that you find incredibly underrrated?

(For me The Works of Vermin is a criminally underrated book)
