hello! in an attempt to make this list evergreen, i’ve made (and will continue to make) some edits so that you can always come to this list for up-to-date upcoming queer horror. here are the edits that have been made as of the 7th of february 2026
ADDITIONS:

REMOVALS:
- hemlock by melissa faliveno has been removed, as it has been released in the US and there is currently no indication as to when it will release in territories it has not yet been released in
- we should not have come here by j.d. mill has been removed, as it has been released in the US and there is currently no indication as to when it will release in territories it has not yet been released in
- we call them witches by india-rose bowler has been removed, as it has been released
- missing sam by thrity umrigar has been removed, as it has been released
NOTE: i am based in australia, where we often get books a few months after initial publication overseas. to take into consideration those of us who are not living in the US, (where it’s possible) books will not be removed from this list while they still have forthcoming publication dates, even if initial publication has passed. for example, if a book publishes in february in the US but has a UK publication scheduled in april, it will remain on this list until the april publication date. below are a list of books impacted by this:
- persona by aoife josie clements, which was published in the US & UK in january 2026 but is scheduled for publication here in may
