The question of whether any sausage in a long bun is a hot dog also comes to mind.
Well burntsunflowers sizzle sausage is considered a sandwich . And a long bun like from subway is also a sandwhich So a hot dog in a long bun is a sandwhich.
Therefore hotdog=sandwich
Iām not sure itās that question (sandwich or not?) that will start the war, but whether or not to put ketchup on it? After all, tomatoes š are involved in that question. Andā¦ thereās a book on the list to go along. š

For me, choice of condiment depends on the sausage because certain combinations are sacrosanct.
Is ketchup on your must or must not condiment?
Ketchup is allowed if it's a 100% beef dog that's been well charred. But only if the ketchup is Red Duck brand. Otherwise I'm solidly a spicy brown mustard kind of gal.
