Mutually Assured Destruction (Enemies to Lovers)
This list is dedicated to the couples who crossed the line only after they actively tried to murder each other. The stakes here are life-or-death, not simple "rivalry" or "bullying". When I say enemies, I mean literally lethal. I'm always looking to add more bodies to this pile - please feel free to share your hit lists with me!

I think Zodiac Academy would fit this list perfectly! The enemies are the absolute worst kind and the lovers are just chefās kiss

I think The Night Circus would fit this theme! Maybe The Hunger Games as well? Does it count if a game requires mutual destruction, so they don't directly try to kill each other right away but ultimately will need to?
Oooh The Night Circus is on my TBR but I didn't realize it was enemies to lovers!! I was also torn on The Hunger Games but decided to keep it off the list because the main characters don't want to kill the other and I'm hoping this list is a little more unhinged (what that says about me... Idk hahaha)

May I suggest The Poison Daughter by Sheila Masterson? She tries to kill him the first time they meet, and later keeps thinking of different ways to do it and even makes another attempt.
