I was told Pot Shot by Laura Piper Lee has a character with Crohn's...

3

Sounds like a good addition, thanks

2

In Time and Time Again by Chatham Greenfield would be a good fit! The MC has IBS.

I'm not a big time loop person, but I'll probably pick that one up at some point because I need to read more books with IBS rep :) (and dw haha)

2

i thought it was cute! but i get that time loops aren't everyone's cup of tea. it does have a couple of instances in the book where the MC has flare ups so it's nice that it doesn't like, say they have it and then never mention it again

2

that's definitely good to know. and it'll be fun to see some rare nonbinary lesbian rep too, i think.

2

just kidding. see that already 🫣

YES thank you for this - from an ulcerative colitis sufferer

2

You're welcome <3

Thank you! More non IBS people need to read about it. People always would be weirded out /surprised that my sister didn’t really eat garlic or tomatoes (and gluten and a bunch of other things) and make vampire jokes.

2

Vampire jokes...? People are so disrespectful. I agree, as a person with IBS.

Heather in Paige Lavoie's "I'm in Love With Mothman" series is gluten intolerant (+ other disabilities iirc)! It pretty significantly focused on as she's quite the foodie

Hi, I appreciate the suggestion! I'd like to note that gluten intolerance, as opposed to celiac disease, isn't typically considered a GI disorder/disease, so sadly I don't think it quite fits the list.

1

No worries! I can't entirely remember if it was actually celiac or just "gluten intolerance", been a while since I've read it

Digging Deep by Jay Hogan (romance, mlm). The MC has Chrohn's disease.

Perfect, thanks for the suggestion!
