You might also enjoy Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and The Ruins by Scott Smith. I thiink The Troop by Nick Cutter may also fall within this genre, but I haven't read it myself so not entirely positive.
How did I forget The Ruins!!!! Added your recs to the list. The Troop is on my tbr, I hear its a tough read as the body horror is intense.
I've heard that too, which is why I've removed it from my TBR haha.. I've realized that I just can't read body horror and enjoy myself lmao.
