disability pride - sensory disabilities

in honor of disability pride month, here is a series on the colours of the flag! we're starting with the colour green in the disability pride flag, which represents sensory disabilities. examples are deafness, blindness/HOH, hearing loss, etc. books within this series will be fiction and non fiction. as always feel free to recommend any book that you think should be on this list!

What a great idea, specifically breaking it out for a sharper focus (as opposed to all disability rep in one list, which is still great but quickly gets massive).

If you're looking for more suggestions, one of the main characters in the I Hear the Sunspot manga series is hard of hearing, and the series goes really into deaf/hoh life in Japan

Love this! I am currently reading Unwritten Rules by KD Casey and it's a beautiful rep of a character who is hard of hearing
