sick day: easy reads for when you’re sick
It’s a cruel irony that taking a sick day means being at home with nothing to do, but very little brain power with which to read.
Enter this list, a collection of books from various genres that don’t require too much brain power but are still GOOD. Accessible prose, storylines that aren’t overly convoluted, and often short chapters or frequent break points. And of course, easy to pick back up after dozing off!

- must be a book the recommender has read and liked (personal rating systems vary by reader, but for my own selections this is a 3 star minimum)
- can be any genre!!!
- must be a book you could enjoy on a good day as well as while under the weather
- do not have to include short (or any!) chapters, but should have easy stopping points
- do not have to be “cozy” books!

This is very helpful because these also work well for books to do on audio at work during particular tasks. There are certain tasks where I can't do more complex books, but I can follow books like these ✨
