I would really recommend this book to anyone! It accounts a doctor’s life experience through medical school, into his career, and continuing the story with the opposite perspective of the medical field as he is diagnosed with cancer. So many insightful takes on the meaning of life, death, and how we treat one another. This was also very easy to read as it follows his life chronologically to craft one full story. Despite the subject matter, I wouldn’t describe this as a sad story as much as a discovery of hope and meaning. :)

Inspired by The Spellshop, what are some of your favourite cozy recipes and herbal remedies? Bonus points for books, kitchen witch books especially 🥰
Inspired by Bryn's cinnamon rolls, if you are gluten free (like me) I cannot recommend enough Kim's recipe for "The BEST Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls" I had never eaten a cinnamon roll before I made these, and honestly my life changed for the better!!
These Lebkuchen are a fantastic christmassy treat, the flavours are 10/10
Apple bread is my preferred apple-dessert for autumn, lower effort than homemade pastries, high reward on taste
Some of my favourite tea concoctions:
My Sleepy Tea Latte: Chamomille + Honey/sweetner + Cinnamon + Milk of choice (bonus points if you froth it), optional additions include lavender & valerian (Highly Reccommend).
Turmeric + Ginger for Hot Girl Stomach Problems: I grate fresh ginger and turmeric into a paste (you could use a blender either), I like to add honey, black pepper (helps the turmeric work better) and sometimes lemon. I freeze it in ice cube trays and just add hot water, sweetner, or sometimes I make turmeric lattes with them. So helpful for nauseau too
Hibiscus & Lavender iced tea is amazing in summer, hydrating and great for digestion! Rooibos is also a great addition to this, strawberry too.
The Book "The Drunken Botanist" has amazing botanical cocktails, super cute for any summer parties!
I also swear by echinacea for cold & flu season.
What do you bake and cook in the colder seasons? What home remedies do you make?
