I always think back to the childhood books that got made me into the reader I am today so I wanna know what books everyone on here got them into reading! It also doesn’t have to be childhood books if you became a big reader later in life but I would still love to know what your answer was! One of the first books that I remember really loving and becoming obsessed with is the first Percy Jackson book that my mom recommended to me when I was about 7-9. So I owe my reader journey to her. I also really love the Pixie Hollow series so I’m super excited to read Wings of Starlight soon. (I’m also using this post as an opportunity to get some reading recommendations 🤭)

I just saw a quiz (readyourcolor.com) on tik tok that tells you what kind of reader you are and I thought it’d be fun to share here! There is a good mix of fiction and non-fiction and instead of telling you what genres you like to read, it tells you what you tend to like in a book. It’s 24 short book descriptions that you say how likely you are to read and then at the end you get assigned a color with book recommendations for that color group. I’m curious—how did you decide on your avatar when you joined Pagebound? I originally picked the goth/emo-looking girl because her haircut was similar to mine. I almost went with the little green witch because she has such a cool vibe, but in the end, I chose my current avatar since I’m a total sucker for romance books. Don’t be surprised if I switch to the little green witch at some point, I just feel drawn to her! I’d love to hear your stories! Did you pick your avatar because it looks like you, fits your favorite genre, or just because it’s cute?

As of right now, I'm really excited for Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. A book set against the backdrop of the 1980s Space Shuttle program seems right up my alley. I'm also excited for The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig because I absolutely loved the Shepherd King duology. Excited to hear yours, hopefully I'll have more to add to my TBR :)
