This is a new favorite murder mystery of mine. It’s definitely a comedic and cozy mystery so if you don’t like that, maybe not for you. I did not see the plot twists coming, but they definitely make sense in hindsight so they weren’t out of nowhere either. It has multiple POV‘s and is written in third person. each POV has clear personalities. You get a mixture of older characters and younger characters POV’s. It’s very fun and funny and written very cleverly. I definitely recommend. My only reasons for it not being a five star is that the first couple of chapters felt a little slow, but I think that is partially because you are being introduced to a lot of the main characters that are staying in the series as well as other characters. Also, there were so many characters being mentioned, even if we didn’t get a POV, that sometimes I would completely forget about a character that was brought up earlier and is then brought up later. Though that kind of helped with the plot twists.

I really enjoyed this book. I would not put this book under the literary fiction genre, I think it should be under horror/thriller instead. I would also say it is technically a dark academia novel. Something about the writing style reminds me of Kurt Vonneguts, it is very stream thought. It is a deranged and unsettling book that is fast paced. Reminiscent of mean girls and Heather’s. I think if you like the book “Tender is the Flesh” you would like this, though I would say it is not as disgusting as that book lol. The main reason it’s not a five star for me is that there are a few too many pop culture references for my taste and sometimes the dialogue is a little cringe, but it is clear that it is supposed to make you cringe so that didn’t bother me too much. I also still have a bit of confusion about something a character did early on that felt a bit out of character for me but otherwise I loved this book. Really fucking weird.

The book was good. I think I expected it to be a 5 star for me and it wasn’t quite that so im a bit disappointed. But the writing style was lyrical and reminiscent of the greek myths. The characters had a lot of depth and the plot was great considering it is written around the preexisting myths. My main reason for not giving it 5 stars is that there was some writing choices that left me a bit confused/needing to reread sentences because they felt slightly out of place from the rest of the writing style. Also while i liked the ending i saw it coming and the combination made it fall just a little short for me. However, i still think this book is great! I definitely recommend it to others especially if you enjoy greek myths.

The book was fine. I wouldn’t say I didn’t like the book. It was just not quite what I was expecting. I was expecting more of a horror/ thriller, but, something about this book was giving me a YA fantasy dystopian FMC vibe. I liked the FMC she had some unique quirks and personality traits that I enjoyed. Mostly just wanted more horror.
