I think, like most readers, I prefer reading the book/series that inspires a movie or tv show. Usually I prefer reading the book before seeing a movie if the plot seems interesting! Often, if I find out a movie/tv show is inspired by/based on a book, it makes me want to read the book even more! This is especially true if the show/movie is dissatisfying or a trainwreck (final season of Game of Thrones anyone?)
However. There are some exceptions to this rule. Stephen King, for example. Loveeee Stand by Me, and I read the book it was based on. Loved The Shining, etc etc. But I realized after reading some of his books that I really don't need to read his stuff 😅 i enjoy the adaptations!! Another example is Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal. I loved both the movie and tv show, and I don't think I really care to read the series?
Anyone relate? Thoughts? 😺

For readers out there who also moonlight as book collectors, do you lend out your books? If so, give me your returned book horror stories? Or, do you even expect to get them back?
I've noticed book journals now have pages for books lent out, so you can keep track of who has your books and when they were borrowed. I love this feature, IF I were comfortable lending out my books all willy-nilly. I am not. There are a select few people I allow to borrow my books, and they get on that shortlist by returning the books in good condition, replacing a book if they accidentally damaged it, and if they're trusted to actually return them.
There's nothing worse than loaning a book to someone and never seeing it again. I've also been known to have a loaning copy of a book and a private copy of a book.

Im not usually a massive fan of books that are turned into tv shows/movies but has anyone got a book that they actually want to be turned into one? Im currently reading Thats not my name and I feel like it would be so good as a series if it was done right!

To paint the picture: It's a rainy, semi warm day, you have your favorite comfy clothes on, a clear calendar, and your current read. All that's left is the beverage. Tea or Coffee?
To paint the picture: You're at the beach, sun is shining, seagulls are in the air, toes in the sand, and your last read. It's time for a nice summer snack. A bag of chips or fresh fruit?
To paint the picture: It's late at night, partners and creatures deep asleep, just you and your next planned read. You find you stomach rumbling for something sweet. Chocolate chip cookies or Ice cream?
Just a fun, small post since I don't have any grand ideas today (mental fatigue is real).
Stay creepy lovelies, Crow
Edit: I'm bouncing between work and PB, so if I miss your comment, I'm sorry and thank you for being here!
