I keep seeing people here casually mention they’re reading three books at the same time, and honestly… how?? How do you store all that information and still remember things like eating, sleeping, and basic human responsibilities? 😅 Meanwhile, I’m over here feeling mentally full after one book. (For anyone taking this very literally—I’m exaggerating a bit.)

So I would like to know where people stand on content or trigger warnings given by authors. This on issues like eating disorders, familial or domestic violence, the nature of sexual encounters, etc. What warnings do you think are needed?
If you support them do you think they gave to be at the start of the book or just mentioned there. I won't lie I'm fully for them.

I’m wondering if you buy a book a second time if you’ve misplaced it (or just didn’t get it back from someone you loaned it to…) or if you don’t! I’ve heard of the rule “you don’t re-buy a book” but now I’m missing the first part of a trilogy and it hurts 🫠😅

I co-run a horror bookclub with my friend and I was just wondering to all the others who run them? How, if you do allow new members, do you grow your numbers?
We love accepting new people who like to analyze media and books, but it seems like interest in joining has dwindled lately as well as a few members needing to leave for very valid reasons. It is online based so we are not limited to just our area, although literally anyone would be welcome.
Are there any tips on how to get more people interested in becoming members?

Hi all! With the release of the new ACNH update, and my other hobbies, I find it hard to balance everything! I usually go through periods of just knitting, or just playing video games, or just reading until I switch to another hobby after a bit. I'm wondering how other people balance things?

What's your opinion on re-rating your books? I'm planning on re-reading a few books I haven't read in 10+ years, when I was a lot more carefree abt my ratings (everything was 4 or 5 stars lol). Now, I recognize a lot of my "favs" when I was younger are not the best written books when I look back at them, but they still have that nostalgia to me so I always feel some type of way abt redoing the rating. I just wonder how many people actually re-rate these books in online spaces such as this one and storygraph and fable, etc.
I think I will re-rate these as my opinion has changed and my tastes has developed but I wonder if I'll annotate the physical copies I may write a little note with a date of my rating. Maybe I can also do that here in a forum post? Ideas ideas!!
