Have you ever read a dictionary cover to cover? Or an encyclopedia? A thesaurus? A car manual? A very niche magazine about tractor engines?

My mum tried to get me to read the dictionary cover to cover when I was a child, but I only got to the end of c before getting too bored. I did read an encyclopedia of the human body, though.

On flights I read the evacuation and emergency pamphlets cover to cover every time 🫡

Before using a new piece of equipment/machinery I'll literally read the manual cover to cover like a book before touching anything 😂

I feel like I’ve seen so many of you on here with cat-related usernames (me included!) and/or cat profile pic and it feels like we’re all library cats walking along the bookshelves and knocking books down (into other users feeds)

Which author/s books have you bought all of recently because you're obsessed with their writing? What stands out to you the most? Which books from them would you recommend most?

My most recent authors I've been obsessed with:

Freida McFadden and the book I most recommend is The Perfect Son. This is my favorite book so far. I have many others to read by her. Let's see how it shifts in the future.

Jennifer Hartmann is another one. I have started to collect more of her books after reading Still Beating. I plan to read the follow up books to that one soon.

Well, I fought it off as long as I could but I woke up with the Big Sad today. It was so sunny last week and the winter was pretty mild so I thought I had gotten away with it, but I woke up today to rain and cold and it just hit me.

And I think what triggered it was not having anyone to talk to about The Caretaker, which I just finished and absolutely loved!

I'm the only mega book reader I know (that reads the stuff that I read anyway) all the book peeps around me are romance/Romantasy readers and they have such a big community! I read horror, and I don't know anyone else that does. I helped start, what I thought, was a horror book club but it's turned into just 'weird fiction' and the last couple books haven't been horror at all so I'm feeling a little douped by it (the other person who co-found it, is steering the ship so, I can't really do anything about it)

I dunno, I just want some weird horror book nerd IRL friends who will read the books with me, go to the horror movies, go to the cons, do all the things. I guess I just feel a little lonely....
