Attempts to turn stories from Greek mythology into a novel by modern authors can be questionable at times, but I think Madeline Miller did well with this book

This was really good and made me very emotional, the main character is very relatable. Definitely YA

Pretty good for a romance book, probably shouldn't've read it in french thought

I definitely wasn't in the mood for this type of fantasy when I read it, but it was definitely well-written

In 2025 I set a New Year’s resolution to read more after attempting to do the same in 2024 and failing (it happens 😌). I used to read a TON when I was in middle school and into high school and then kinda just stopped and hadn’t picked up a book again until 2024, when I read maybe 2 books for the whole year. Happy to say I’m on my 12th book of the year and I am falling in love with reading again 😌 and I think I’ve learned I really love books with multiple POVs especially when they are intertwined with each other and you are seeing the same story in multiple ways rather than just getting one story from different people. Does anyone feel the same? Does anyone feel differently? Does anyone have any good recs? There isn’t really a genre I won’t try once 😉 p.s. I do attribute my reading success this year to this platform and look forward to seeing it go further!

Hey y'all! I'm not sure if this is really the spot for this, but would love to chat with folks about readathons we are participating in! So if anyone is participating in Magical Readathon for the Spring 2025 semester (running for the month of April), I figure this can be the thread :) I'm keeping my character that I have had from the very beginning and pursuing dual callings (Alchemist and Demonologist). Will probably tackle the Leyline Train Conductor and the Impling Sitter Scheme as well. If not allowed, please do delete 😅

This is a very simple and basic book as far as science books go, but Carlo Rovelli has an amazing writing style and I will read anything he writes

I've been meaning to try listening to audiobooks for a while and I'd love to know your best tips! Where do you listen to audiobooks? The only platforms I know that have the most range, at least according to what I usually read, are audible and audiobooks but I also don't love the fact that I'd be paying a membership plus paying for each individual book. How do you listen to audiobooks? Do you listen to them while doing other stuff or while reading the book you're listening to? A big reason why I want to try audiobooks is to do what I've seen people call "immersive reading" aka listening and reading the book at the same time cause it honestly sounds kinda fun! Thank you in advance <3

I don’t know anything about this story but it’s so cute so far! I love the sisters and their bonds 🥰
