I've been meaning to try listening to audiobooks for a while and I'd love to know your best tips! Where do you listen to audiobooks? The only platforms I know that have the most range, at least according to what I usually read, are audible and audiobooks but I also don't love the fact that I'd be paying a membership plus paying for each individual book. How do you listen to audiobooks? Do you listen to them while doing other stuff or while reading the book you're listening to? A big reason why I want to try audiobooks is to do what I've seen people call "immersive reading" aka listening and reading the book at the same time cause it honestly sounds kinda fun! Thank you in advance <3

I don’t know anything about this story but it’s so cute so far! I love the sisters and their bonds 🥰

I swear some of y'all can speed read (not a bad thing) and maintain so much detail. It will take me days to a week to get through a 400 to 500 page book and I will miss so much context sometimes. I also find myself sometimes becoming easily distracted when reading slower parts of books which definitely extends my reading time. Sometimes I just can't focus on whatever is going on and then will need to reread the parts. I'm reading for enjoyment of course and the discussions here, but I find myself feeling inefficient, which shouldn't really matter but I was curious what everyone's strategy was to read so quickly. I feel like some of y'all will start a 500 page book in the morning and have a detailed review by the evening, which is awesome and I need to know your secrets.

I’ve been reading since I was a little girl and when I look back on my life (I make myself sound a lot older than 26 😂) I can pinpoint books that have made a large impact on my life and who I am as a person. Some of these include books as far back in my childhood as Winnie the Pooh and Paddington bear, through these I learnt kindness and the feeling of found family. As I got older, stories like Anne of Green gables and little women helped me to learn about problem solving and developing emotional intelligence and empathy. These are just a few examples but I was wondering if anyone else may have any that stand out in particular in your life?

I just wanted to ask if you are able to remove books from your reading pile and their ratings (I ask because I accidentally put it so that I read the odyssey two times because I thought it hadn’t been imported)

When you read a series, do you read straight from book one to the end with no other books in between? Or do you break up the series and read different books between installments? For me, I usually read other book in between.

It might just be a me thing haha but I've noticed I have a much easier time reading books with shorter chapters. If a chapter is 20+ pages, something in my brain has a hard time focusing even when I'm very invested. For example I read The Priory of the Orange Tree recently, and the book is long, but the chapters felt sooo long. Now I'm reading Heir of Fire and some chapters are 2 or 3 pages and I find it better to read this style of writing for some reason. Was curious how others felt, or if maybe I'm just the odd one 😂

What type of reader are you when it comes to genre variety and mood reading? Do you usually find yourself reading just one or two genres for an extended period of time, do you like to switch genres for every book you read, or a mix? Personally, I find myself being more in the mood for certain genres at different times, but these periods come and go so quickly that I usually only read 1-2 books from a certain genre in a row before I want a change.
