hey friends! with the new year, lots of people have been asking for tips on how to read more/how others push themselves to reach their goals etc. for some of us, setting reading goals offers accountability and can be productive, but for others itās just an added pressure. for many, the new year means setting often unrealistic and hard to attain goals, and itās easy to put too much of a weight on having to better yourself or bring about some kind of radical change to how you navigate your life.
i just wanted to remind everyone that itās okay to not feel like goal setting, or to set yourself a lower goal. itās also okay to have goals and not meet them. remember not to have an all or nothing mentality (e.g. if your goal is to read every day, donāt beat yourself up if you miss a day) and prioritise your mental health over perceived productivity. sending love! <3

I saw some people complaining about this one on Reddit but in my eyes, Brando Sando can do no wrong, so here I am reading it to see if I'm right lol

Trying to move away from reading by the numbers!
diariesofastray commented on a post from the Pagebound Club forum
Hi everyone! š Iām curious: How many books do you physically own? (mainly asking about physical books because my primary concern is shelf space) Are you happy with this number? Do you do regular unhauls to maintain/get closer to your ideal number? And on a related note, what percentage of those books have you actually read? š
I have about 300 books on my shelves, and Iāve currently read about 40% of them, which Iām hoping to remedy this year! (either by reading more of them or unhauling the ones Iām no longer interested in)

I am so done with the romanticization of anorexia in this book!!! It's in several of the stories and truly bothers me, it can be very triggering, and I also don't see what it adds to the characters. There is also fatphobia in certain stories.. uuuurgh I am beginning to be a bit over this book Anyone else feel the same?

i read this one and the thing that did stick with me, was the novelty of its format, but at the same time it made it very hard for me to keep up (i struggle w attention issues tho!) i own it and might try to read it again while keeping notes or marking pages or smth. 7/10? for me :)
