I recently saw The Testament of Ann Lee in theaters (Japan getting it 9 months later yippee...) and holy shit does the soundtrack have a hold on me. I also watched Vertigo for the first time the other week and the soundtrack is slapping as well.
Does anyone have a certain movie soundtrack they love to have on as background noise whether while reading or doing other activities?
(Some movie composers I already know and love: Hans Zimmer for Interstellar, Joe Hisaishi for all the Studio Ghibli movies, etc.)

Why is Jason kinda useless? He hasn't done much on this quest so far and everyone else is pulling their weight and have been keeping the plot and quest going. He's also still pretty flat as a character; this was excusable in TLH since he had amnesia but, he's had barely any character growth or personality since then. I also noticed we haven't gotten many chapters (if any?) in his POV; whenever he's with other characters, it's from their POV. The whole mini quest with him and Piper getting the horn for Hercules is all in Piper's POV (and again, Jason wasn't useful š ).
How I wish Thalia was one of the 7 instead...š But, maybe Jason's role is coming up and he'll be in the center of something later.
Piper and Leo have also grown on me a lot in this book. I didn't care for them in TLH but their characters are showing more complexity in this one.

I'm enjoying this so far and glad that we got most of the worldbuilding intro and Allomamcy infodumping out of the way.
I'm liking the mentor-student relationship between Kelsier and Vin. Really hoping it doesn't turn romantic some way down the line of this series. Please tell me it doesn't happen!
Looking forward to Vin's character development and seeing her grow. Her taking on the role of a fake noblewoman will be interesting (I hope). Are we gonna get another training montage? She's barely learned Allomancy and now she has to take noblewoman lessons too? Busy busy.

Hello bookworms, as you can see from the title Iām looking for a very specific type of book.
Ever since I discovered I was aroace (though an oriented aroace) I have been in search of books about lone wanderes. Books that are about a single person (it can be multiple people as well, kind of like Lord of the rings!) that ventures out on a quest/adventure that doesnāt include any type of romance for the main character, (preferably for the major side characters as well if you have anything like it, but no pressure) but just pure, loving platonic relationships, Iāve been trying to find recommendations everywhere but I feel like many websites donāt really come with anything close, the best thing Iāve found so far is āSword of Shannaraā Which I am very interested to read :D (I have heard mixed reviews about it, mainly that itās just a rip off of LOTR, but Iāll try regardless) so it would help a ton to get some personalised recommendations as well, thank you :D šŖ·š

I wanna start off by saying im aware PageBound is focusing on genre specific quests rather than universe/author ones and that the existing ones are quite old. This is just for fun and im curious to see what others think š¤
Hypothetically if you were able to create a universe/author specific quest right now, which would you choose and why? The more niche and unique, the better! And ofcourse as a bonus, what badge should such quest have? :0
Im honestly unsure myself, as some authors have books that are unconnected and wonāt fit nicely in a quest and some universes are so small theyāll barely fill up a side quest š© looking forward to seeing yallās ideas āØ

I may have waited too many years for this. I'm very excited!!! The writing for now (the prologue) seems beautiful, neat and suggestive. And I did not expect the main character to be a girl???

I enjoyed this book much more than the previous one (The Lost Hero)! Really liked liked Hazel and Frank and I loved their dynamic and chemistry with Percy. Seeing them work together, cover each other's weaknesses, encourage each other's strengths, and learn to trust each other - it was all so good! Hazel, Frank, and Ella (the harpy) became immediate favorites. I hope we get to see more of them all and get more of their stories!
I don't have much to say about this one bc I devoured the last half of it so quick and immediately started reading Mark of Athena after.
This book was a really good installment in the Olympian-verse and I enjoyed meeting the new characters, getting more lore and seeing the stakes get higher and higher with each quest! So much pressure is put on all these kids and I just need someone to give them all a hug and tell them it'll be okay! š„²

Iām not sure Iām understanding everything so far, but judging by everyone elseās posts, that seems to be pretty normal, so thatās reassuring š
Iām really loving the little bits of botanical horror and weird plant magic. Itās one of my favorite genres, so Iām very excited to see where it goes.
Also, I already love Din and Anaās dynamic. Theyāre giving me iconic duo energy, like a reverse B99 Captain Holt and Jake, and Iām absolutely here for it!
Iām not sure how I feel about the audiobook, though. For those of you whoāve listened to it, is it worth sticking with, or would you recommend switching to only reading the book instead? (Im currently reading it while listening at the same time, it helps me focus more)
