who, what, when, where, why?
what i liked: ⢠subtly queer! ⢠the writing and story-telling style. ⢠magical bird creature (chill ass dude).
what i didn't like: ⢠the length, it was way too short to get across what feels like what could have been a great story. ⢠the formatting (this HAS to be a nightmare to fully grasp via audiobook, i'm glad i did an immersive read). ⢠the handling of Chinese culture/history (see: Rui's review).
TLDR; this should just be a novel.
