What is that one book that every time you see it on your feed or in the wild that you say “I’ve been meaning to read that. I’m going to read that”
Mine is: Circe by Madeline Miller
I want to read it. I talk about reading it. I loved her other book I read (Achilles). I think I even had it in my home but did I read it yet? No. 😩
I’m going to read that book… someday.

Every now and again I notice people giving zero stars. Sometimes this makes sense, and the person will explain they DNFed so didn't want to rate or genuinely thought it was so terrible. Or they might say "I didn't know how to rate this, so I didnt"
However, more often than not, people write long, thoughtful reviews that imply they liked the book enough to give it a rating but the stars are blank.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a glitch or an intentional choice? If so, what's the secret meaning behind leaving a long written review but not doing a star rating?

hullohhhh! I just picked up west hollywood monster squad and am so excited, but I'd love some more recs from the community of books that take place in LA, past, present or future. or in socal!
would love: mystery, thriller, graphic novels, realistic fiction, queer and POC stories, speculative, short stories, sci fi!
open to horror, romance, fantasy (pref not high fantasy bc I have trouble understanding world building)
thank u :) will add them all to a shelf/list!

Hello everyone! I'm looking for stories that focus as much (if not more) on the camaraderie of knighthood as it does on the protector-protectee relationship. Romance isn't required, or it's a subplot. I've scoured reddit threads, goodreads lists, storygraph challenges, even lists and quests on pagebound, but I'm still having a hard time finding books, so I'm turning to this forum (and really hoping I'm doing this right, as it's my first post here).
I absolutely welcome media recs that aren't just books! My definition of 'knight' is pretty fluid at this stage in trying to find something that scratches that itch lmao, so anything from The Three Musketeers to the Saints of Steel series to even just the 'motley crew' trope like in Six of Crows or Robin Hood is welcome!!

started off strong and interesting, ended up too obvious and boring. i was obsessed with the characters and wanted so much to know more about them, but alas.... the author spells everything out for you in the most condescending way that it's borderline misogynistic 😭
