3

Well, even if not all of the above, I do just wanna say I admire both the breadth of your reading recs & the dedication to share an organized list with the community!

1

OMG AT WHAT POINT DO I JUST NEED TO HAND OVER THE LIST?;?! this is so many recommendations that I'll look into adding, my goodness thank you!!! I feel like you've just gifted me a gold mine with all of these suggestions!!! 🫂🙂

The Constellations Are Unrecognizable Here by Andrew Joseph White would fit beautifully here 🌟

2

Wonderful suggestion, thank you!! 🙂

Also, is this book really only 14 pages?!? Lmao at this point the book is crumb size!! I might have to take a look into that one!

2

I was only able to find this short (short-short) story online after reading the rest of AJWs work 😅 there's no real "cover" art either, and the 14 pages are like computer screen pages lol I hope you enjoy it! Tysm for adding 💯

2

Okay this has only added to the intrigue 👀 now I need to know what it is!!

This month is pretty full reading wise however I would be down to reading pretty much any one of them in June if you want. I have only read The Giver and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy so far.

2

Yeah June should work for me! I'm in the same boat with the only additional one I've read being This Is How You Lose The Time War.

Let me know if you have your eyes on any! If not, I have a couple I've been looking at for a bit.

I dont have anything in particular in mind so let me know what you want to read! (Also sorry for the delayed reply)

2

Lmao now it's my time to apologize for a delayed reply. I have my eyes on these right now:

  • the employees
  • to be taught if fortunate
  • there is no antimemetics division
  • sea of tranquility
  • psalm for the wild built

Also, I'm going to be traveling here shortly, but could start any of these starting June 9th (but also am flexible to start later too). Let me know if any of these piques your interest!! 🙂

3

A Psalm for the Wild-Built is the one thats already on my tbr but Im happy with any of them! Also June 9th works for me (or later if anything ends up coming up for you)

2

Let's do A Psalm for the Wild-Built then!! I'll put it on hold at the library and let you know if anything pops up! 🙂

2

Hi Ezra!!! How's the 9th sounding?? June has been creeping by faster than I thought, but that would still work for me! 🙂

2

Im good to start tonight!

YIPPPEEEE!!! image

2

Thank you Squirtle!!! 🙂🫂

1

love this list! may i suggest the membranes by chi ta-wei, the practice, the horizon, and the chain by sofia samatar and walking practice by dolki min

2

Hehe yes you may!! Thanks for the suggestions, I'll get those added in 🙂

Also, I've seen the cover for walking practice a few times but didn't realize it was Sci-Fi! Just assumed it was horror and moved on, but I'll look more into that one now!

2

the main character in walking practice is an alien! but it also has horror elements so i guess it's scifi horror

3

OOOOOOOO SIGN ME UP!!!!! one of my fav books is Children of Ruin because I feel like it has a sci-fi horror feel to it. I'll try to check this one out soon!!!

2

Feed Them Silence by Lee Mandelo and The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey

2

OMG IM SO INTRIGUED BY BOTH OF THOSE!!! thank you for the recommendations!! 🫂

2

Thank you for considering them!!! 🥰

2

This immediately made me think of "Stories of your Life and Others", it's a very interesting collection of short sci-fi stories 💯 i think it fits perfectly here!
