This is a great theme for a list! I'll throw out a recommendation for the Chatty Corgi Mystery series by Jennifer Hawkins, which is a cozy mystery series where a tea shop owner and her corgi (who she can talk with) solve crimes. The first one is called To Fetch a Felon.
omg I love that, corgis are some of my favorite dogs, adding immediately!!!
Mine too! I currently have one and before her, we had two corgi sisters :) So this is the series I reach for whenever I have to read a "cozy mystery" for any sort of reading challenge!

Might I suggest Pony Confidential (pony solves a mystery) and maybe Hollow Kingdom (crow tries to save humanity during the apocalypse)?
