I'm dying at this list name this is SO CUTE (here is my cheese offering đ§đ§đ§)
Thank you! I had the idea for this list and then the name hit me and I had to make it lol đ 𫶠:)
This is such a fun list! đđđ
Haha thank you! It's inspired by my silly back and forth with notsolocaltheatrekid about rat books LOL đ
Yeah I thought it was!! đ Iâve got to read Redwall at some point đđ
Let me know your thoughts when you do! :)
I loved Tail of Despereaux!! My mom drove me all the way to school and I was reading it in the car, so excited to read it I forgot my backpack...! She was mad. Rats of NIMH as well and the animated movie. And... I liked Robin Jarvis as well if you want recommendations. I never got into Redwall it's really too bad
Glad to hear you have fond memories with some of these books! What's the Robin Jarvis book? I'd be glad to add it, but when I searched PB only a book 2 came up haha Never too late to get into Redwall, I'd say. I've enjoyed the series quite a bit so far! (Even though it's been a year and I still haven't gotten to book 5 đ¤Łđ)
cute! what perfect emojis haha. i remember loving Rats of NIMH
I didn't realize just how many there were! :O
Ikr! There are surprisingly so many! :)
I donât know if heâs too much of a secondary mc but Remington is a rat in charlottes web
Yeah, he deserves an honorable mention but Wilbur is definitely the MC so Charlotte's Web doesn't fit the list unfortunately.
Have you read bravepaw by L.m Wilkinson? Itâs on my tbr
No, I haven't! I looked it up and it looks adorable tho. Adding it to the list and my TBR! đđŤĄ
I love mice so much ahh
A trilogy to add to this would be The Deptford Mice trilogy - I happened upon the trilogy at a thrift store a few years ago and itâs WILD af
YESSSS!! the fact there is so many is crazy to me omg - love this so much (and the name is so good hehe)
Thank you! :D Ikr, it surprised me that there are so many! And this is just with the first books in many a series. đ
Eee such a cute list, here comes Thursday is such a cute one by Michael bond (the author of Paddington the bear)
Unfortunately it's not on Pagebound yet but I'll try to add it soon (it's difficult to add on my phone) Edit: Added!
just bought my cousin Delphine and the Dark Thread by Alyssa Moon for christmas & ran to this list to see if you had it on here. itâs a series, i guess? starting with Delphine and the Silver Needle
It's been added! :)
You need to put on Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree!!
Sorry, but that doesn't fit. I haven't read it yet, but I believe Viv is still the MC, not the rodent on the cover. Plus, B&B is an adult book and this list is specifically for MG books with rodent MCs.
Ah Iâd say it fits since the mouse is the other main character, sheâs very central to the story. Whatâs MG??
MG stands for Middle Grade. It's the category of books written for an age range of 8-12 yr olds, usually. It's the step down from Young Adult (YA) basically
The only thing I can think of that some people might think is inappropriate for kids is the discussion of death but like. Hard disagree on death being inappropriate to discuss haha
Ah figured it out. Middle grade. I donât really think thereâs anything inappropriate or adult in that book but I getcha
When you go to the library after watching RatatouilleâŚ
