I might be looking at the wrong book but it looks less like a historical account of witch trials and more like a handbook for contemporary witches? This list is about witch trials (especially historical ones)!
The first part of the book is all about The Burning Times, the witch trials, the role of gender, queerness & politics during the trials, and the origins of The Hammer of the Witches. The second & third part of the book is more about how the history of the trials may inform what’s commonly believed to be a psychosomatic “witch wound” passed down across generations.
The book is not solely a historical account (since it also includes healing practices for the WW) so it might not totally make sense to add to the list - but does have some cool info and would highly recommend to fellow witches!!! 🧙🏻‍♀️🖤

I love this list so much!! A couple suggestions to check out: The First Witch of Boston by Andrea Catalano and The Witches: Salem 1692 by Stacy Schiff! I'll keep you posted on A Poisoners Tale!

Oooooh yes yes! The list is so Europe heavy because my reading in this area has been informed by what’s on tables in UK bookstores so these are such helpful suggestions!
