  • Fave banned books??

I recently read Animal Farm by George Orwell and it got me thinking that while reading is an escape, I also love books that make me reflect and think and question…

    SO

What’re some banned books or just classics that you think everyone should read at some point ?

This is one of the sweetest graphic novels I have read. Although I am not done, I hope to find friends like this as my life continues!

  • For Readers who listen to music while reading 🎧 What Do You Listen?

    • Do You Listen to Book Playlist by Authors / Made by Readers? / Your Own Playlist? Or instrumental Music? 🎹

I usually listen to my own playlist or book playlist made by Readers! But when it’s raining, i would put jazz on youtube that fits with the weather vibe 🌧️

  • Any PageBound Etiquette You’ve Made Up in Your Head?

For example, I always search a books forum up to my percentage to make sure I am not creating a duplicate post if someone else has already wanted to talk about the same thing. It’s a few extra steps but it makes things less messy

Searching up a list before saving it to make sure it isn’t a dupe is a new one I learned about!

Upvoting the main thread if I liked it enough to add a comment

Trying to read through all the comments of a thread before I add my 2 cents just cuz I don’t want people to feel lost in the sauce

I don’t know! Have y’all made up little rules for yourself too? I’d like to hear them and maybe adopt them too 🤸‍♀️

I think Dalinar’s flashbacks have been my favourite ones so far. Slowly piecing together what happened to his wife, who the famous Blackthorn was before becoming what he is

  • What does your StoryGraph say about you?

Mine says: Mainly reads fiction books that are adventurous, emotional, and dark. Typically chooses medium-paced books that are 300-499 pages long

And I’d say that’s pretty accurate lol. What does your say? Any surprises? Anyone twinning? 👀

    Favorite ADOFN character?

Who was your favorite character from the book? Mine were Glorian and Tunuva! I really admire Samantha Shannon's ability to make her characters feel distinct from each other. Their pathways may intersect, but they're all on their own unique journey.

“Because our crime is existing. Our crime is what we are”

Reading is and always will be political. End of story
