Quick question before I continue, why does it always involve sacrificing women, whenever it's a religious or cultural or even just sacrificing for the greater good its always women??? Like maybe let's sacrifice the men, maybe something will happen Just a thought

For now, I struggle to get into the story. I don't know why exactly, maybe it's just that I have a hard time to figure the world, the city, the surroundings... Takes a bit of effort to immerse myself.
Everyone else felt the same? Tell me I need to keep going 😭

As a teenager, I read a lot of manga, but at some point I stopped. And in doing so, I obviously missed out on some truly wonderful stories!
Since I’m currently really not "up to date" when it comes to manga, I don’t know whether the artwork is better or worse than that of other manga, or how the story compares (which is why I only give an Overall and Enjoyment rating) ... What I do know, however, is that I was smiling the entire time while reading. In terms of both visuals and text, I found this manga to be simply... delightful. Can't wait to read the second part and then see what else is out there...

This book is so unique and wonderfully macabre. So many bits of this book that Devon had to go through as a female bookeater in that society/world made my blood boil. I hated the males/patriarchs of this world so much that I'd gladly burn down every one of their manors.
This book also had the foundations of all classic fairytales, the og dark ones, not the Disney ones and I appreciate that the ending reflected that structure too.
