Not going to lie, as much as I want to root for this book, it hasn’t caught my attention. As I’m reading, I can’t help but notice that something is missing for me. Thankfully, nothing so far has made me dislike the book. It’s been an easy, casual “short blog style” vibe, and I’m glad to see others from here connect to it and truly enjoy it, I’m just hoping by the end of the book I find that missing connection.

Would you rather have the name “Esperanza” or “Magdalena” ?

reading the lighting thief really fueled my already greek mythology obsession i hate at the time. i really did feel the magic this book described and my imagination was just so vivid then. waiting for the next book to drop when i was in school was the best anticipation i ever felt. i need another series to hit me like this one in 2026.
